It retains the relative simplicity of vanilla with a similar campaign, but it re-balances a lot of factions, adds some nice skins, and makes the AI much, much more competent on the battlefield. It also contains the biggest graphical overhauls I've seen in a RTW mod and looks amazing. Roma Surrectum 2 is supposed to be extremely good too, but I haven't played much of it. Having said that I cannot seem to get it to. One of the main reasons I did was to download what seems to be the well renowned SPQR mod.
